Dick Patrick

Dick Patrick has been a fixture in the island real estate market since 1979. He is known for his straightforward approach and diligent representation on behalf of his clients. Hence, the reason he was voted by his peers as Realtor® of the Year. He has specialized in selling properties in the Hilton Head area for over forty years and, along with his partner Lawrence Taylor, regularly ranks as one of the top ten realtors on the island in sales volume. Dick is proud of his long time association with Charter One as he has surrounded himself with some of the island’s best real estate professionals.

Dick has a business degree from Georgia State University. He was born in Atlanta where he worked for a large insurance brokerage firm until his move to Hilton Head Island in 1976. He has been married to Pati for fifty-four years and they have two daughters who grew up on the Island, both now married. Christie, a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, is a physical therapist in Charleston, and Valerie, a graduate of Wake Forest University and Washington University in St. Louis, is an Occupational Therapist in Greenville South Carolina.

Always dog people, Dick and Pati lost their beloved Coton de Tulear, Sea Biscuit, and are now on the slow hunt for that next ideal dog. Dick and his family are avid sailors and enjoy time on the boat, traveling, hiking, and skiing. Being spherically challenged since birth, Dick has mastered the art of talking about sports with a ball but wisely avoids participating.

He has been active on a number of local boards including Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head Plantation Property Owners’ Association, and the Hilton Head Island Association of Realtors, Habitat for Humanity, Board of Governors of the South Carolina Yacht Club, Windmill Harbour Marina Board, and the Board of the Hilton Head Island MLS. Presently Dick is on the board of Memory Matters.
